Dancing is the perfect way to get your blood flowing and your pulse pumping. For women of all ages, dancing and other aerobic exercise also may help prevent heart disease – a condition that strikes one in every two women.
Attend the Spirit of Women Day of Dance hosted by Franciscan St. Francis Health. Put on your dancing shoes and join us for an entertaining and exciting day of dancing!
At Day of Dance, women of all ages, their families and friends will join together for a fun-filled day of music and dance instruction designed to improve women’s heart health and overall wellness.
Saturday, Feb. 23
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Event is free. Parking is available onsite for $5.
The day will be filled with live dance demonstrations, instruction, nutrition, and music.
Several screenings will be offered at the event such as cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and more. Fasting is not required. Please note, screenings will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon.
Celebrity Guest Emcee
Chelsie Hightower, fan favorite on So You Think You Can Dance has spent the past four years dazzling audiences with her skills as a professional dancer on the hit show Dancing with the Stars.
Some of her partners have included Rodeo Bull Riding Champion, Ty Murray, Olympic Snow Boarder, Louie Vito, Michael Bolton, Romeo and Indy car driver Helio Castroneves.
Chelsie and Derek Hough were nominated for a choreography Emmy for their Paso Doble.
