Classes and training for health care professionals

Franciscan St. Francis Health offers a number of training courses for health care professionals. Our goal is to help health care professionals continually develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.


Emergency Medical Services Classes
A specialized program providing quality training for those interested in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, International Trauma Life Support certification or Paramedic class certification. We also offer EMS instructor workshops to maintain continuing education requirements.
 
Pharmacy Practice Residency
A one-year program that includes didactic and experiential teaching and research opportunities. Offers the opportunity to practice pharmaceutical care in a community, acute-care setting.
 
Infectious Diseases Specialty Residency
A one-year, post-graduate year two residency focused on training in the areas of infections diseases and antimicrobial pharmacotheraphy.
 
Clinical Laboratory Science Program
A one-year intensive program providing experience in all major departments of a clinical lab.
 
Family Medicine Residency Program
A special program focused on training a new generation of family medical physicians. Residents work in the program for three years and see patients of all ages and incomes, providing care at all stages of life.
 
Colorectal Fellowship Program
Our sister hospital, Franciscan St. Francis – Mooresville,  offers a colon and rectal surgery training program in partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine and Kendrick Colon & Rectal Care.
 
Professional Training
Franciscan St. Francis Health offers a number of professional training and certification courses ranging from CPR for Health Care Professionals to Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
