Franciscan St. Francis Health is committed to the education of our pre-hospital partners. The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) education staff works with the Franciscan St. Francis Department of Education and affiliate instructors to create a comprehensive approach to our programs, and is able to provide multi-faceted approach to your educational needs.
- The Emergency Medical Technician program at Franciscan St. Francis Health lays the foundations for pre-hospital patient care.
- The International Trauma Life Support course is designed to teach the skills necessary to recognize mechanisms of injury, assess and perform critical interventions, package and transport the trauma victim.
- The Paramedic program builds upon the EMT’s knowledge and skill to develop advanced providers, able to care for the most acutely ill patients.
All courses meet or exceed the accepted standards for that particular course as defined by their respective organizations and are approved by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security as applicable. Course schedules are available for those interested in auditing courses in progress for the purposes of continuing education.
