When problems affect these areas of life, professional help may be needed.
Franciscan St. Francis Health EAP counselors address issues that affect your well-being and your ability to perform on the job.

- anxiety and depressions
- family problems
- legal complications
- problems caused by alcohol or drug abuse
The discussion of the problem remains confidential between the employee and counselor. Employees or family members may initiate a request for help.

The Franciscan St. Francis Health Employee Assistance Program, a division of St. Francis Health Human Resources, helps employers and employees function at their best by providing individual counseling, educational opportunities, management training and consultation.
When a performance problem occurs, supervisors may seek the help of the EAP to determine if personal problems are interfering with the job. The supervisor will not try to diagnose or counsel employees on personal business. If performance problems continue, supervisors may refer the employee to the EAP. However, the program is voluntary; employees can only be seen if they choose to participate.
