The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at Franciscan St. Francis Health provides confidential, professional assistance to help employees and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives or job performance. This voluntary service lets employees and their family members seek confidential help when necessary.
Everyone, regardless of job position within an organization, faces a variety of problems in daily life. Sometimes the problems become too much to handle, and begin to affect our personal happiness, family relations, work performance and even health. When problems affect these areas of life, professional help may be needed.
Franciscan St. Francis Health EAP counselors address issues that affect your well-being and your ability to perform on the job.
These may include:
- marital problems
- emotional difficulties
- anxiety and depressions
- family problems
- legal complications
- problems caused by alcohol or drug abuse
The discussion of the problem remains confidential between the employee and counselor. Employees or family members may initiate a request for help.
Resources from the Franciscan St. Francis Employee Assistance Program:
The Franciscan St. Francis Health Employee Assistance Program, a division of St. Francis Health Human Resources, helps employers and employees function at their best by providing individual counseling, educational opportunities, management training and consultation.
When a performance problem occurs, supervisors may seek the help of the EAP to determine if personal problems are interfering with the job. The supervisor will not try to diagnose or counsel employees on personal business. If performance problems continue, supervisors may refer the employee to the EAP. However, the program is voluntary; employees can only be seen if they choose to participate.
Franciscan St. Francis Health EAP offers a professional, caring staff committed to serving our clients. Franciscan St. Francis EAP currently offers assistance to approximately 10,000 employees from 30 companies. Coverage is offered to most of Indiana and to affiliates across the nation. Our nationwide contacts mean we can arrange coverage for your satellite locations.
