Health and wellness programs for you and your family

We've moved!

The Kathryn Weil Center for Education, the community education department of Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health, has moved from its current location at the Medical Arts Building, 415 N. 26th St. in Lafayette on the campus of the former Home Hospital, to its new location in the Bill Long Building, 1415 Salem St., Suite 102 in Lafayette on the campus of Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health – Lafayette Central.

There's nothing more important to us than your health. That means we not only offer the best medical care in the area, we also provide you with a variety of wellness programs designed to keep you healthy through the Kathryn Weil Center for Education - now for over 30 years.

While many programs are free of charge, registration is often required to ensure space. For programs requiring payment, you may register by calling (765) 449-5133.

Classes and programs

       

CPR/First Aid

All courses comply with standards set by the American Heart Association and lead to American Heart Association certification.

The courses are certified by the American Heart Association are taught by an American Heart Association certified trainer.

       

Community education

Our community education classes are devoted to prevention, early intervention and health education; the forerunners of health care today. We offer programs for people of all ages including children, parents, parents-to-be and grandparents.

       

Expectant parent education

Education is an important part of preparing for the birth of your baby. Just as each labor experience is unique, so are the needs of expectant parents.

Our classes are designed to help you and your partner increase your knowledge and decrease potential fears, allowing you to make informed choices.

       

For Healthcare Professionals

Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health offers a number of training courses for health care professionals. Our goal is to help health care professionals continually develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.

       

Revive & Survive

Revive & Survive is a community grant offering qualifying 501c3 organizations automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at no cost. The program's mission is to give everyone struck down by sudden cardiac arrest another chance at life by deploying life-saving AEDs to key locations where people live, work and play.

Support Groups

Many people find peer support a helpful tool that can aid in their recovery from a life-altering event. A variety of support groups are available through the Kathryn Weil Center.
