Your hospital stay
For a woman who anticipates a normal delivery, the LDRP suites offer an ideal combination — the extra comforts of a home-like atmosphere, along with top-quality medical care and nursing support throughout the birthing experience.
During labor, the family is surrounded by home-like amenities. As delivery time approaches, the room is quickly transformed into a delivery room with all of the necessary lighting and equipment. After delivery, mom can recover while she and her family enjoy the newest family member without waiting to be transferred to a new room.
After delivery, our postpartum patients benefit from personalized instruction and encouragement, on all aspects of caring for a newborn. A certified lactation specialist is available should mom need help, to ensure breastfeeding is a healthy and emotionally rewarding experience for mother and baby.

Ready for anything
Franciscan St. Francis Health—Mooresville is ready if complications develop during your delivery. Cherished Beginnings, has dedicated surgical suites for caesarean births and a Level 2 special care nursery — to help put your mind at ease. The Level 2 nursery is a highly specialized unit that provides state-of-the-art care for infants requiring more intensive care. If a higher level of care is required, staff from both hospitals use a special, private Web camera that allows neonatologists at our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Francis Health–Indianapolis to see the baby in the nursery in Mooresville. Then the staffs work together to provide the most comprehensive care for your newborn’s special needs.
Along with the latest technology, we offer a soothing, beautiful environment, helping ensure that families feel both comfortable and secure.
