Paramedic science program open for registration

Registration is open for Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health and Saint Joseph’s College’s associate’s degree in paramedic science program.

This program will begin Aug. 20, 2012 with completion in July of 2014.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be awarded an associate’s degree in Paramedic Science from Saint Joseph’s College and be eligible to take the National Registry for Paramedics exam for licensure in Indiana. Indiana recently passed a law that allows paramedics to be licensed instead of certified. Financial aid is available for this associate’s degree program.

Didactic classes will be conducted in the evenings. Clinical areas will be scheduled days, evenings and nights. All classes and clinical will be held in Lafayette, IN. Participants must have your Indiana EMT-B certification for acceptance into the program.

People interested in the program may contact Allen Borck at (765) 423-6235 or via e-mail at allen.borck@franciscanalliance.org or Casey Hitchcock, admission counselor at Saint Joseph’s College, at 1-800-447-8781.
