Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health offering EMT-B course

Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health will be offering an EMT-B Course, beginning in September.
 
Students can enroll for a Monday and Wednesday course beginning Sept. 5, 2012 to Feb. 27, 2013, or they can enroll in Tuesday and Thursday sessions from Sept. 6, 2012 to Feb. 26, 2013. Each class will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. in the EMS Education Center at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing (room 4-910). The cost of the course is $850. This price includes your tuition, textbook, workbook and clinical shirt. The tuition does not include the Indiana certification exam fee ($125).
 
The curriculum includes auto extrication, stroke update and emergency landing zone with a tour of StatFlight, along with computer-based training on autism and weapons of mass destruction.
 
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required. If the class is full your deposit will be returned. Class size is limited to 30 students. AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers or equivalent required prior to course start date. A CPR class will be offered prior to the start of this class on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 from 5 to 9 p.m. The cost of the CPR class is $30, payable on the first day of CPR class. CPR books may be picked up one week prior to CPR class in the EMS Education Office.
