Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health announces organizational appointments

Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health announces the following organizational appointments:

  • Marsha Weaver has been appointed division director of Inpatient Medicine and Oncology Services.

Weaver recently worked in Colchester, Ill., where she was the director of OB/GYN services and nursing house supervisors. She has also held positions as supervisor on a telemetry step-down unit and head nurse of a medical ICU department. Weaver is also nationally certified as a health education specialist.

Weaver received an associate’s degree in nursing from Lewis and Clark Community College, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from McKendree University and a master’s degree from Western Illinois University.

  • Debbie Riley has been appointed clinical director of Women’s Services at Franciscan St. Elizabeth in Lafayette.

Riley began her work at St. Elizabeth in Home Health but soon moved to St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi as the director of nursing in 1994. In 1999, she accepted the position as administrator of the Skilled Nursing Unit in Lafayette until 2005 and St. Clare Skilled Nursing Unit in Crawfordsville in 2006 until 2009. In 2005, Riley developed the Nursing Informatics program at St. Elizabeth. In addition to her Informatics responsibilities, she assisted with the new hospital project in 2008 and 2009 as the move coordinator.

Riley received a diploma in nursing from the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in May 1980; a bachelor in nursing from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer in May 1992; and a master in nursing administration and graduate certificate in nursing informatics from Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis in May 2009.

Riley has participated on numerous hospital, community and state committees including Management Council, Medical Ethics, Home Health Advisory Council, United Way Campaign Chairman and District Chairperson for Hospital Emergency Planning and Bioterrorism.
