Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health – Crawfordsville, the Marie Canine Cancer Center and Faith Alliance will host a community cancer support group meeting from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 in Bonzel Hall at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health – Crawfordsville, 1710 Lafayette Rd. in Crawfordsville.
This meeting will include a program by Sandra Lofland-Brown, a breast cancer survivor and author from Crawfordsville. Lofland-Brown writes about the real life challenges one faces with cancer. Her persistence to become a survivor of breast cancer will stir one’s emotions throughout her new book, Cancer Is Tough, Be Tougher. This is an inspirational book that will show others how to receive the attitude, motivation and knowledge to be a survivor.
Lunch will be provided. Participation in the support group is open to current and past patients, as well as family members and caregivers.
This event is free, and registration is required by July 9. For more information or to register, please contact the Marie Canine Cancer Center at (765) 359-4149.
