The St. Clare Health Clinic is a primary care provider of non-emergency services for the un- and under-insured residents of South Lake County and surrounding communities. The Prenatal Assistance Program is available to expectant mothers with limited family income.

Chesterton Health Center

The Chesterton Health Center, scheduled to open in December 2011, is a landmark project - the first of its kind in Northwest Indiana. The facility will feature a freestanding ER, onsite laboratory and full array of advanced imaging technology, providing greater access to care for members of the Chesterton community.

Our facilities are rooted in the tradition of the Catholic Church and the mission of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration. We provide quality services in a trustworthy, compassionate manner through a continuum of care with a special concern for the health needs of the poor and disenfranchised. Our mission is “Continuing Christ’s Ministry in our Franciscan Tradition.”

Franciscan Alliance and our 14 hospitals in Indiana and Illinois serve a geographic area with a population of 3.7 million people. We provide care for more than 2.9 million outpatient visits and more than 100,000 inpatient discharges every year with the most effective medical treatments, state-of-the-art medical equipment, and an abundance of compassionate care. The system employs approximately 18,200 co-workers including 556 physicians – both primary care and specialists – and expects to grow its physician team to more than 630 physicians throughout 2011.
